G string won’t stay in nut after changing strings (Sterling Sub Series Stingray)

Hey everyone, I’ve been playing bass for a few years not crazy experienced especially with maintenance but I wanted to learn how to do and fix things myself because I love my instrument and want to understand all that too. I changed my strings and before it sat for a while with one string loose cuz I fucked up the first time I tried to change them so I feel like the tension being off probably threw off the truss rod. But anyways, I did the strings properly and had a lot of buzzing so I adjusted the truss rod a bit using google to a place where it wasn’t perfect but sounded pretty good but after like 3 days I was playing and the g string popped out and won’t stay seated since. I don’t really have anywhere to go to ask else where I live in a rural area where there aren’t many shops or any of that around but I’m also pretty confident I could figure it out with some guidance. Sorry for the long ass text it won’t let me post any pictures for whatever reason (if someone could explain that too cuz wtf) so I tried my best to describe it I can pm with photos and videos if ur willing to give advice. Thank y’all :)
