I’m having an issue with Fortnite installed on an external hard drive. The game files are still on the hard drive and I haven’t deleted anything, but every time I shut down and turn back on my PC, or disconnect and reconnect the hard drive, Epic Games no longer detects Fortnite as installed and makes me reinstall the whole game again.

This has already happened at least seven times. Each time I tried restarting the PC, shutting it down and turning it back on, disconnecting and reconnecting the hard drive, but nothing worked. The launcher still doesn’t recognize the existing installation even though all the files are still there.
