How could we ever cope with the situation in Ukraine?
I'm quite upset as i write this since my country is right next to Ukraine and we are generally considered next in line to be in a war too.
I find myself only growing further left as i age in terms of policy(i am 25 now), never really fell into any of the online rabbit holes either, i don't know however how we/i could ever cope with what we're doing and have done to men from Ukraine.
They are now laying the legal framework to ramp up immigration as means of "fixing the demographic crisis" probably as soon as the war is officially ended. This is as black and white as it seems, they sent local 19 year olds to be blow apart by temu drones and will now be replaced by other men who will inherit a country at peace in the hopes that those other men will start families with the native women.
I support immigration in my country and wish to see drastically more of it as means of economic prosperity, Ukraine however is an entirely different animal. I'm sorry to be crass but this is just the reality: those 18-19 year olds, were kidnapped off the streets by force, sent to die, and replaced by other men to copulate with the women they grew up with.
How could we ever make an argument that we value men's lives / that we care about gender equality. Those same war policies exist in my country and most likely yours too.
I just cannot process any of this and would really like some insight if someone has any.
