in a sticky situation

My deferral for MA103 got denied, which messed up my whole path to graduate in Fall 2026. I had 2 exams back to back on that day and was so nauseous and threw up that I couldn’t make it to one, forced myself to go to the other because I didn’t want to defer both exams. And I know it looks like I didn’t want to write one of them from the faculty perspective but I genuinely could not make it to my 103 exam that morning, and I didn’t think I needed documentation since your first 5 deferrals on medical grounds don’t require it. Or I would’ve went to the doctor and gotten a note.

It also shows that I failed the course twice now and I need to petition for a third. And if granted I would have to take MA103 in Fall and then ST230 in Spring 2027…

I’m in BSc CS and have completed all of my CS courses literally only needed MA103, and I’m taking MA123 and ST230 now (which I’ll probably get kicked out of now). I don’t know what to do. They are suggesting I switch to the BA stream of CS but obviously who would want to do that when they’ve come so far? I also completed my Big Data Systems concentration which is only tied to my BSc stream.

If anyone has had a similar experience please help me. I just asked advising if it’s possible to complete MA103 now alongside ST230. But from my previous emails it just seems like they can’t do anything because of all the policies on CS prereqs.

My main goal is just to graduate in Fall 2026.

haven’t heard back from deferral request

hey! I had petitioned to defer an exam last semester and still haven’t heard back for a decision. The last time I had deferred an exam I heard back within a week. Anyone else dealing with this ? It has me worried and stressed. Really need the credit
