Can’t focus

I just started my master’s program, and I knew there would be a lot of reading, but I feel like so much information is being thrown at you all at once. I guess what I’m trying to ask is—has anyone gone through their master’s program and still become a successful social worker, even if they felt like they couldn’t retain everything from every class? Has anyone else had to Google things, ask questions, and really work hard just to understand the material and get good grades? I want to do well, but I’m feeling a little overwhelmed and wondering if this is normal. I’m just nervous that I’m going to forget very important information because I am more of a person that likes to do hands-on work and remembers things by just doing.
