About the ending of Bleach: Why was the ending of Bleach so hated?

A long time ago, even though I finished Bleach and its manga before the TYBW anime, I came across several videos claiming that the ending of Bleach was "bad" simply because Ichigo married Orihime instead of Rukia, plus the rushed ending to defeat Yhwach, Noriaki-sensei ending up sick, and so on. I never spoke ill of the ending of Bleach; on the contrary, I enjoyed it. But seeing the reaction and the offensive comments directed at Noriaki-sensei made me ask myself, "Is it really worth enjoying a manga or anime if people end up criticizing its ending?"

I always enjoyed Bleach, especially during my last year of high school and my music school years in 2017 and 2018. The fact that people were saying not only that the ending of Bleach was bad, but also that the ending of Naruto was bad and garbage like Bleach's, created a negative perception of me. It affected me as a fan, and although I don't speak ill of Noriaki Kubo or Masashi Kishimoto, I always enjoyed the final arcs and hoped that the Fourth Shinobi World War and the Thousand-Year Blood War would finally end and everyone could live in peace.

After finishing Naruto and Bleach, I only watched a few anime like Pokémon, Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken, Attack on Titan, Yashahime the Hanakh, Brand New Animal, and Dragon Ball Super (starting from the Zamasu saga). I wouldn't watch any anime or read manga like One Piece, Samurai X, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, Saint Seiya, or Demon Slayer after that. Due to the negative influence that affected me, I considered Naruto and Bleach to be video game series rather than manga and anime, and I dismissed them as part of the "Big Three." I considered Naruto a Bandai IP with a Tekken-like fighting genre (combining that genre with the existing Ultimate Ninja Storm genre), and I considered Bleach an IP between ATLUS and Nihon Falcom with a TRPG genre. Despite the negative influence, I still enjoy Naruto and Bleach as series, and I follow both and have a lot of affection for them. However, I would never again have that perspective I had before, which was that Naruto and Bleach are pure manga and anime and, along with One Piece, are more than Dragon Ball, Samurai X, Pokémon, Saint Seiya, etc., because we know that the endings of Naruto and Bleach in the manga unintentionally divided many fans. So, I wanted to finish and leave a mark after all.

So, now that I understand this, why was the ending of Bleach so bad, and why, along with... Were the endings of Naruto so hated?

Poem from volume 41 of Bleach

There are 41 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we have the poem from volume 41 of the Bleach manga, quoted by Yammy. The poem deals with how he would be capable of doing many bad things because of what he previously lost, plus one more thing:

"To plunder that which has been lost,

Blood and flesh and bone

and something else."

Sajin, always with me even when I'm alone and asleep

I'm sharing my new drawing, number 34, of me with Sajin, which I made because I was so tired.

Perhaps this drawing has nothing to do with the story I'm about to tell, not to mention that I was exhausted after a busy week. A week ago, I participated in a percussion cultural week, specifically a small Mexican jazz concert. During the percussion cultural week, I only participated as a composer, presenting a piece that filled me with pride to have performed for a teacher outside my hometown. Even so, I was tired after the week, and it was fun.

So, what does Sajin have to do with this? Well, while I was resting after a week of cultural activities, I fell asleep and Sajin kept me company so I wouldn't feel alone. I told him everything while he drank his water. He was also taking a break from social media because there had been so much unrest in Chihuahua lately due to the recent marches. Although I confessed that I was worried, Sajin seemed even more concerned about the situation and about my future as a composer and video game programmer, since he wants to see me achieve my dreams, whether it's outside my country or within it.

Despite his company, he told me I shouldn't worry about it, since he has faith in me, just like everyone else does. Nevertheless, I fell asleep and he carried me to bed at my house. Finally, the next day he told me everything. In fact, this is what he said before he even realized I'd fallen asleep:

"This kid... I don't judge him, even though he's an adult... Always be yourself, son..."

I was originally going to upload this yesterday, but something came up. On Monday night, with the recent Bleach trailer, I changed my deadline to finish the drawing to yesterday and upload it today.

I hope you like this drawing a lot. Sorry for the long story and the sketch; it was a little difficult to draw the angle, but it was worth it.

Crying the name of

Poem from volume 43 of Bleach

There are 43 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we're accompanied by the poem from volume 43 of the Bleach manga, quoted and accompanied by the original king of Hueco Mundo, Barragan Louisenbrain. It speaks of destruction and the long wait at the castle of the trees.

"To decay is our companion
As night is our servant
As the crow pecks at this body
I await you at the castle of elm trees"

Happy Birthday to Larla!

Two days ago, although I missed Sproutmoon's 16th, was Larla's birthday. Even though she's a bit lazy, she and her companions have gathered various materials and resources to strengthen the Alliance castle. She's definitely lazy, but it's worth it, even if you regret it later.

(At least there's some fanservice, but it's not very relevant.)

Happy Birthday, Larla!

Poem from volume 44 of Bleach

There are 44 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we have the poem from volume 44 of the Bleach manga, quoted by Kaname. It's associated with justice and how we can be blinded by it until we make mistakes, but it can also be endlessly doubtful.

(I'm still in the same place as Sajin. I was outraged then, and I'm still outraged, by the way that cockroach Kaname treated Sajin so badly, calling him ugly. Kaname didn't deserve someone as good and kind with a heart of gold and the appearance of a wolf like Sajin.)

"Man has, above all else, evil
That I would, for the sake of having this illusion of justice
Beyond everything that is I, more than the evil that I have,
Hallucinate, that there is nothing else
The justice I had believed in has its own evil
Justice, for the sake of obtaining justice is
Constantly, endlessly doubting my own justice"

Poem from volume 45 of Bleach

There are 45 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we have the poem from volume 45 of the Bleach manga, quoted by Shigekuni Genryusai Yamamoto. It demonstrates an implacable fury as he faces Sosuke after the latter has defeated almost all the captains, lieutenants, and visoreds, who, despite not having a significant advantage against Sosuke, tried their best and gave it their all, even with mistakes.

"You may live bowing on your knees,

but die standing on your feet."

Poem from volume 46 of Bleach

There are 46 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we have the poem from volume 46 of the Bleach manga. The poem features Rangiku, who, despite being Gin's enemy, was always in love with him. Judging by her expression, it was clear what was going to happen, and as we know, it was all planned.

"It is not terrifying
to know sorrow.
Terrifying is to know
you can't go back
to the happiness you could have."

Poem from volume 47 of Bleach

There are 47 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we have the poem from volume 47 of the Bleach manga, quoted by Gin in his last appearance before dying at Sosuke's hands. However, the poem I quote will always reflect his image as a snake and how he can slither freely.

"You are becoming a snake tomorrow,

and as you start to devour people,

with that mouth that has eaten others,

you cry your love to me,

and the same as today,

I do wonder,

will I be able to say my love to you?"

Poem from volume 48 of Bleach

There are 48 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we're sharing a poem from volume 48 of the Bleach manga, quoted by Sosuke in his butterfly form by the Hogyoku. It speaks of what we humans are like, according to Sosuke, and his perspective—unfortunately cruel and true.

"All humans
are imitations of monkeys.
All gods
are imitations of humans."

Confusion over the Bleach timeline

Okay, I know that for many, the Bleach timeline is a bit confusing, and in fact, I recently stumbled across this whole thing about the Bleach timeline and what events occur. But the degree to which each Bleach arc and novel is combined with Burn the Witch and Zombie Powder leaves me even more confused, because even though they're by Noriaki Kubo, we don't know with any certainty what dates they take place. We do know about the Bleach arcs, but the rest, chronologically speaking, is just as confusing.

Poem from volume 50 of Bleach

There are 50 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we have the poem from volume 50 of the Bleach manga, whose verse is quoted by the villain of the Lost Agent arc, Kugo Ginjo. It speaks of time and the future and what was to come, so I think what was to come was already upon us.

"Time always goading from behind,

raising a growl before one's eyes,

is wholly washed away.

Let halt your steps!

Time shall wash you away

to the beautiful past,

and how it shall pare the fangs.

Don't look ahead!

Your hope approaches to the rear

only within a dark, turbid stream."

Poem from volume 53 of Bleach

There are 53 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we're sharing a poem from volume 53 of the Bleach manga, quoted by Yukio, reflecting on the fact that regardless of age, whether we're young or inexperienced, we grow older, and adults are unable to forgive.

"It seems that I,

even this young,

even being this inexperienced,

have grown withered by age.

As for the adults, being completely flawless,

such is like a thing impossible to forgive."

Sajin is with me because of the passing of my teacher.

Today I'm sharing my 33rd drawing of me with Sajin, but this one is a bit more emotional, because a dear and beautiful teacher of mine passed away Wednesday morning while I was studying. I found out about her death while I was at a rehearsal, and we went to her funeral to say goodbye. My teacher, who was a wonderful principal, looked beautiful, and everyone who knew her cried, including my family. I cried too, but I cried inside, with my inner child, because I really wanted to cry, but I was brave. Then, after I stayed home, I'm showing how Sajin, after noticing my face, cried, confessed his feelings, and hugged me.

My teacher helped me in my career as a flautist, and I invited her to my graduation. She also helped me pursue my other career as a composer, and I thanked my teacher for everything she's done for me and everyone else. Then I told Sajin about it, and here I'm showing how he's supporting me through this recent loss. He puts his arm around me and keeps me company so I don't feel alone, but he assures me that I'll be okay and tells me that being brave isn't about holding back tears, but that if I wanted to talk it out with him, I had the right, and I did, because that's what friends and family are like.

I hope you liked this drawing a lot; I really wanted to. I wanted to express this recent loss in the drawing I made. I originally had a plan, but that will come later.

Poem from volume 54 of Bleach

There are 54 days left until the final cour of Bleach TYBW, and today we're sharing the poem from volume 54 of the Bleach manga. This poem is quoted by Rukia as she announces the end of the Lost Agent arc, where she speaks of the heart and strength. Without a doubt, the Lost Agent arc is one of my favorites; it had many tense and emotional moments, as well as some very interesting twists.

"If it can be said

that it is the heart that is unchanging,

then that is the strength."
