Plane falling, landing and then re-boarding
Firstly, I usually dream and my dreams often feel long and complicated with many themes, jumping from one thing to another. Last night I had a more unusual dream of me.
I woke up abruptly in my dream (which was confusing/it felt real) and I could feel this kind of free falling sensations and then realised I was on a plane and the ceiling of the plane had cracked open. I had noise cancelling headphones on and I missed the announcement but figured - I’m about to die. It quickly jumped to the next scene where we were all getting off the broken plane into this random remote (kind of) train station. They announced that we should not get on the next plane if our ears were sore. One plane came and passed quickly so we couldn’t get on. The next plane looked incredibly old and dodgy. It said it was going to Bulgaria (I have no connection to Bulgaria) which was not the original location. Even though they said don’t fly if your ears are sore there was no viable other option to not get on the plane. So I did, with sore ears. Nothing much happened after that. I worried about my ears, but didn’t tell anyone.
This dream actually makes a lot of sense to me, but I am interested in what others interpret from this.
Contextually, ~2.5 months ago I was assaulted by a client at work (strangled from behind). Obviously this was scary and triggered a lot of previous trauma which has been very hard and frustrating. I’m making my return to work (to a different site from the incident) and desperate to go back, and try to get back to my normal life. The return is well supported and there is no pressure to rush from my workplace. Probably a little bit of pressure from the insurance company. Mostly a lot of my own pressure on myself.
