75-Year-Old Father-in-Law's Shocking Request to me
My name is manasi im 24 years old ,My father-in-law is 75 years old and his eyesight has become very weak. He lives with us. I am the mother of a 6-month-old baby. Earlier, there were four of us living in the house—my husband, my father-in-law, my baby, and me. However, my husband was recently posted to a distant location for work, so now only the three of us live together.
One night, my father-in-law suddenly woke up and started crying loudly. His behavior became very childlike, almost as if a one-year-old child was trying to express something. He told me, “I want to drink your milk.”
I ignored what he said, but the same thing continued for about a week. He stopped eating food, and I kept wondering why he was behaving this way.
Then one day, he again woke up crying and said, “My mother died when I was very young. I never received a mother’s love, nor did I ever get my mother’s milk. I want to experience a mother’s milk just once.”
I thought about it for a long time, and eventually, feeling helpless, I breastfed him. Since then, his daily crying has stopped. Earlier, he seemed distressed and often refused to eat, but now he appears normal. However, because of the situation, I now have to breastfeed him regularly.
I am very confused. Is this right, or am I doing something wrong?
