Is there a community pool in Marin where my kid can swim before noon?
Today, I took my 2 year old to the Hamilton Pool in Novato. There was a lovely little tot spot for her to splash around, but I quickly learned that the large 8-lane pool was completely closed to everyone but lap swimmers until noon.
This was surprising to me on the weekend, noon seems late to open up your pool while all the kids cram into the small toddler pool. I would understand if they had more lap swimmers, but it sat basically empty the whole time we were there.
Doing some quick online research, it seems that most of the other Marin pools have similar lap swim hours and don't open to families until the afternoon.
Am I missing something? Does anyone know of a community pool where kids can swim around in water deeper than 1.5 feet before noon?
