Reusing a pot for food

My wife needed to dye a couple items for an upcoming trip, and she used a bottle of the non-toxic Rit dye to do so. However, when I came downstairs I noticed she was doing it in the pot we use for cooking.

I know the bottle says it's non-toxic, but everywhere online says it's better to have a separate pot for dyeing and cooking. Is it worth trying to clean this pot and use for food again, or eat my losses and use this as an excuse to buy a new pot? Thank you!
