1Y5M Post MPFL Surgery Concerns
I had MPFL surgery December of 2024, and I did good in PT and was able to make a lot of progress, but I stopped doing the exercises a few months later. I have worked out here and there but haven't stuck to doing it consistently and now my surgery leg is noticeably smaller because my other leg has also gained muscle mass. I just wanted some recommendations of exercises I could doa . I don't want to do weight training as it feels to intense for me. I have full range of motion but my leg is noticeably smaller.
My other concerns are that I have been experiencing weird pains, not horrible but sometimes it feels like a shock or an itch in my knee. I don't know if it's the nerves regenerating or if I should be worried. I also can see a bump on my knee, near one of the scars and I'm not sure if it is an implant, should I consult my surgeon about that? And my last concern is my knee will occasionally buckle, it is painless but just scares me a bit, it happens randomly. Is that normal? Also noticed my knee points inward a lot can this be resolved by strengthening the muscles?
Sorry if this post is all over the place, mainly just want to know if anyone else has experienced these things and any exercise recommendations. Like I said my leg is noticeably smaller than the other, it is mainly around my inner thigh. Any advice would be helpful.
