I'm not asking for help on making one much, but I was curious if some of you guys made a scenario as such, when CoC was mostly intended for 1920s~1930s.
I'm interested in learning some of the people in here's methods on mixing the elder mythical gods type of cosmis horror lore with all the futeristic cyberpunk? type of technologies and other traits. For me, it always felt like oil and water so.
Now before I ask "What is The King In Yellow exactly? (+ one other stupid question)" I KNOW you guys would be screaming "It's just an act where the first part is normal but the second part makes anyone go crazy"
BUT as you can see in the CoC book screenshot (I am sorry that's in KOR but believe me that is 'The King In yellow') THE GUY IS CLEARLY RIGHT THERE. And his? name's not 'Hastur' or whatever.. I'm so confused of how this isn't an ENTITY but just a curtain act;;
I'm not so bright with the deep cthulhu lore so I want to know if this being's just a god from the start or a human in the past that became some great wizard who writes wizard books or stuff, or STILL just an act, but for some unknown reason drawn as some entity in the book like that.
Oh and a small one more question, am I allowed to slightly change the lore of CoC as a scenario maker / Keeper or is it recommended I keep it exactly the same as it was? I am looking forward to change the lore where great magical thing actually was once a human before becoming that 'thing' for some story related reason.
