How to learn advanced python????

Hello everyone, I'm mainly looking for guidance about learning advanced python concepts. I know basics ,loops , control flow ,data structures etc.

I need a proper guide on how to learn modules and library. Idk how to start ,where to start.

I want to be able to work with any library as i need them ,so how do u actually learn to use new library for a given task . ?And i get overwhelmed understanding the structure, working of library

And could u also suggest important python concepts other than basics which i should learn ???

How do thousands of software engineers code together at a giant company like Google or Microsoft without breaking everything?

As a beginner, I understand how one person writes code and puts it on GitHub. But how does it work when a company has tens of thousands of developers working on the same product? How do they organize the work, and how do they stop people from stealing or leaking the secret source code?

Complete UGEAC and BEU Guide

UGEAC stands for Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling. It is conducted by BCECEB and is based on JEE Main score.

The fun part is that you can get at least some college with whatever percentile you got in JEE.

Maybe not the college and the branch you want, but yes, some college.

Last year, just like many of you, I was wandering for guidance and real BEU experience. I didn’t get much, but yeah, I’m here. Got you covered.

First, be realistic

One thing I’ll be blunt about: you are not going to choose the “bestest” college. You are going to choose between less worse vs more worse colleges.

Most BEU colleges are not so good , except a few like MIT, Bhagalpur, etc. Don’t expect IIT or NIT-level infra, labs, or placement. Keep that in mind.

When you have no big expectations from any BEU college, it becomes easy to choose the less worse one.

Once you accept this, choice filling becomes easy.

I know how it feels to be intrigued by uncertainty and confused about choices. But we can’t do much. In the end, we have to be alone and make it work.

First decide what you actually want

Before deciding, or getting advice from YouTube or anywhere, sit down and write what you really want.

After wasting precious time, or not being able to prepare well for any valid/invalid reasons, at least be honest now.

For example, I was certain that I wanted CSE or any related field, and I didn’t want my hometown or a nearby college.

My personal choice about CSE was that I liked coding, computers, and I had already wasted so much time on the internet, so why not study the very same thing?

Another supporting reason was that, given the not-so-good reviews of BEU colleges, why take risk enrolling into something else? At least in CSE, I can learn the whole 4-year course from online courses, YouTube, etc.

But in non-CSE subjects, labs and practical skills matter more.

For CSE, you need a laptop and dedication. That’s it.

So I was never panicked about which college I may get. I was certain that I have a laptop and I’ll find a way.

And , I always liked travelling too. Even in Bihar, a slightly far place would give me the opportunity to travel.

Your personal reasons can be different and valid as well.

Once you decide it, then choose and move the choices up/down based on what you really want.

Because as I said, you are not going to filter two best colleges or branches, but worse ones.

Many people have different goals and interests. So even with good percentile, they may choose Civil, and they may be good in academics as well.

In the first sem result, Civil students performed better than CSE and CSE-AI in my college, while the university topper is from CSE branch.

(You can check and get PDFs of all these results from BEUVAULT, a site I made.)

So listen to advice, watch YouTube, but do what you personally want.

About BEU and its colleges

Exams are now being conducted on time, so things are improving.

For example, the first sem exam of the 2025 batch was scheduled in December. Everyone got panicked. It was the earliest for any batch. Then it was rescheduled to January.

Second semester started in early February, and now our exam is supposed to happen from early July .

Many of the faculties have good academic backgrounds. Many will teach very well, like spoon-feeding. Many will act professionally and will want you to read and study yourself, while they can guide and clear doubts, because you are no longer a kid in school.

Overall, everyone teaches, except a few.

Labs are somewhat good, and again, it depends on colleges as well.

Classes are regular ,Extracurriculars happen. Clubs exist. They function.

Maybe things like academics, clubs, extracurriculars, etc. may not happen in the best way, but they do exist, and you can trace them. They are not extinct.

Ragging?

Nah.

But yeah, in the guise of “intro”, while you are new for 1–2 months, any senior may interrupt your peace in class or anywhere on campus like:

“Hero, button khula hai.”

“Aise bolo.”

“Waise bolo.”

“Aise khada raho.”

I was just waiting for: “Mere according saans lo.”

Intro culture feels funny later, but irritating when it happens to you. It should never become harassment.

I personally think there should be hierarchical structure in any institution to function well.

And it should not be about ego or senior-junior power. It should be just about respecting and maintaining a culture to keep everyone accountable.

Seniors can’t tease much, juniors must know how much of such shit they can entertain and everyone must abide by laws .

UGEAC counselling

Once you have decided what you want based on your personal choice, then your job is to filter the less worse, aka best, colleges as per your rank within your wishlist checks.

Choice filling is not just about putting famous colleges randomly.

Make layers:

Dream — very low chance, but you truly want it.

Reach — difficult, but maybe possible if cutoff shifts.

Target — close to last year’s cutoff.

Safety — your rank is comfortably inside last year’s cutoff.

Backup — final acceptable options.

The biggest mistake is filling only dream choices.

The second biggest mistake is filling only safe choices because of fear.

Put MIT, Bhagalpur, Bakhtiyarpur, NCE Chandi, DCE, etc. above if you truly want them. But don’t put any college high just because others are saying it is famous.

Ask yourself: “If I get this college and branch, will I actually join it?”

If the answer is no, don’t put it above something you actually want.

Also, don’t judge only by closing rank. Closing rank shows demand, not complete college quality.

Check branch, location, distance from home, hostel/living situation, result performance, seniors’ review, and your own interest.

And No website, senior, or YouTube video can decide for you. Tools can only help you think better and you  have to decide it Yourself….

…..

Final decision should be yours, based on official data and your own priorities.

If you still have any doubt or query, reach out to me. I’ll try my best to help.

Best wishes!
