I was cleaning out my monarch cat enclosure and found this larvae?/maggot? thing on the topsoil of the potted milkweed I have in there. All cats and chrysalises look fine, all eating and developing normal. I have removed and disposed of it, I didn’t want it potentially hurting them. Any ideas of what it could be?

I’m new to raising caterpillars, many of mine are actually doing very well. I noticed that two of my cats had turned into chrysalises, but they look rather different??? I just want to make sure both will develop normally, is there a reason for the difference? I already lost one to Tfly so I’m a bit nervous.

First pick is a fresh one, second is a few days old.
