Emigrant mosquito reports
Curious if anybody has been to emigrant in the last week, would love to know if I can skip the tent and go with a tarp.

Curious if anybody has been to emigrant in the last week, would love to know if I can skip the tent and go with a tarp.
Quick trip report (returned Sunday):
Mosquitoes: yes, lots
Creek/river crossings were mostly boots off and calf to knee deep
Water temp in aloha: refreshingly cold
Could use some advice. I am looking at taking a scout troop from Bayview Campground to 4Q lakes in 1 day then camp at 4Q. The boys are good at hiking and the 7 miles is not a concern, just curious about the trail quality or any other concerns I might have. We will leave in about 1.5 months.
Has anybody been to desolation this week? Would love to know about snow and if mosquitoes are out yet?
