Summer Time and the Livin’s Easy

Nika’s dance reminds me of ska dancing (skanking). There’s different variations of it, they all involve bouncing kinda, but I’m from socal so it reminds me of that variation, especially since it’s done in a circle down here, similar to the scene where they’re dancing around the fire in one piece . I’m also a Sublime fan, maybe Oda is too. The dancing and one of their album covers reminds me of one piece. 40oz to freedom features a sun with a face, devils, skeletons, fish, a flower, a mushroom head. And of course the name references alcohol and freedom

Mara, Mari, Mar

IMU partly represents MARA (celestial being). commonly seen with 5 skulls (Elders), rides a giant cursed elephant (Zunesha), jealous of Buddha, etc.

MARA (same name different culture) is also a Nordic mythological creature that causes an oppressive feeling, heavy chest, and creates nightmares. A Mara can be defeated by taking away its hat.

The name: take the root and read it from a Romance language perspective Mar / Mari (in latin based languages) means “sea”

MARy Geoise, whilst this can mean “lady of the sea” in some translations. If you take into account Japanese and castle names, they end in “Jo” similar to the “Geo-“ sound in “Geoise”. This can point to it loosely meaning Mari, Mar, Sea, castle. Or my favorite “MARA JO” or “MARA castle”.

Speaking of Japanese castles. The most famous one is Himeji-jo or Himeji castle. There’s a legend that within the walls lives a female or male (they aren’t sure, story started as male, evolved to female as time passed) yokai who hides from all the castle occupants and has great disdain and hate for humans, but lords over the castle (IMU)

IMU = Mara / Osakabe hime / etc

Mary Geoise = “Mara Jo”
