What do you say?

My dad had anothee failed Whipple two weeks ago. Another surgery last week, we don't even know what for because the leading surgeon is on vacation and nobody else can give us info. He's been on morphine for 8 days, his drainage wound is leaking bile. Is this the end? Three weeks ago he was riding his motorcycle and now he's in so much pain he can't hold up his phone to talk. Will he die soon? I am visiting him tomorrow. I want to tell him how much I love and how I appreciate him. But I am afraid he will think that I think he won't be long. I am awkward with words and don't know what to say.

Numerous Whipple attempts?

Hello guys,

Firstly I would like to ask for no judgment. My dad was diagnosed in November, head of pancreas, no spread, had a bypass and then they tried to remove the tumor, they couldn't because it's stuck on artery. I would like to add we live jn a country where you can't privately see an oncologist or surgeron, you are designated to one and that's it. Also no clinical trials.

He started with chemo and firstly it grew but the second CT showed that it shrunk a bit(not by much). We found a surgeon in Germany that offered nanoknife+Whiple. We went to consult the first surgeon to see if our insurance could reimburse us for some of the expense(we needed his opinion foe insurance company).

The surgeon then said he'll do it, that the tumor shrunk enough. We 'knew' (no medical background) that it shrunk just a little and was bigger than in the first scan. But because he reassured us that this time it'll work, it went through health insurance and it' not that far away (our biggest concern, travelling aftsr such an operation).

So we decided to trust him. Dad has been withouth chemo for 3 weeks because of scheduled surgergy, marker went up by over 6000.

Anyways he had surgery and they couldn't remove the tumor. We were without any information on his state for 24 hours. The surgeon won't meet with us.

Guys, everyone on this sub knows what so many weeks before and now after to heal, without chemo means for this type of cancer. What can we do? We made a huge mistake. He is very pragmatical. But I am desperate. Do you think a third Whiple option(with nanoknife included) would be even viable? I can't imagine what it does to a body to be open up like that for a third time? He's willing to try, waiting to hear back feom Germany.

King regards.
