Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Ohio PE) to support the design, construction, and activation of the National Space Intelligence Center's new Space Force Intelligence Facility (SFIF) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This is a rare opportunity to serve as the lead mechanical engineering advisor on one of the Air Force's premier Intelligence Community MILCON projects. This position is contingent upon contract award. Candidates selected for interview should expect an expedited interview process due to proposal timelines. We estimate the award will be made in late 2026.

I'm asking in SciFi but it can be wider genre. My 10yo son and I are going on a road trip next week and looking for audiobook reccs for both. I'm a prolific reader so I don't care if it's something I've already read. My initial thoughts were OLD books - War of the Worlds, 20K Leagues, Time Machine, Frankenstein. (Of note we've watched movie versions of all of these - just examples).

One of the stories was a new host in KC that advertised their whole home for $5500 PER NIGHT for the World Cup. No bites. At the end of the story Kai updated the listener that they had reduced the rate to a mere $2000.
