ECGS Bushing Install Troubles
Hi all,
I need advise on installing the ECGS bushing that replaces the needle bearing. I started by removing the two bolts holding the hub to the lower control arm and using a pry bar to pull the axle from the differential. I was able to successfully full the needle bearing and install the new bushing. I was however not able to get the new bushing 100% flush, it has a 1/16 or so lip from where it should be. I decided to just run it and now I cannot get the axle back into the differential. It will get about half way in, spin, but will not go any farther. I have pulled it in and out quite a few times now and tried to position the c-clip downwards and give it as much force as possible. My question is would it be best now to take it apart further so I can try to install the axle without without it being connected to the hub, or is there something I am missing to get in installed correctly. It also kind of looks like the c clip is too wide even when positioned to try and make it flush for install.
