Would it be possible for us to have a traditional wedding ceremony in Iraq after my fiancée receives her K-1 visa, then come to the U.S. and legally get married here afterward? The ceremony in Iraq would be purely traditional/cultural, no legal marriage registration, documents, rings, or anything of that nature. Since both my family and hers are in Iraq, we would really like to celebrate the traditional wedding there before coming to the U.S. to complete the legal marriage process.
