J1 approved
I know there have been many posts about J1 rejections, especially in South Asian countries, but let me tell you my story
I had my interview 2 days ago at Hyderabad consulate. They barely asked 2-3 questions and it was all over in 5 mins. They asked me to mail them my social media profiles and handed me a 221(g). 24 hours later the status changed from refused to approved.
I did visit US in 2025 for 4 months. No questions asked about that. Two other applicants had a longer stay with one also having multiple entries. They all got 221(g) it was over in matter of few mins.
Please relax! If things had been tough before, it seems to be getting lenient now. But do carry all your documents which prove your prior observerships, either invitation letters or certificate of participation. Good luck! Be confident, that’s the ultimate trick.
