I am seeking some guidance on accessing archived/digitized news papers (pre 2000's). I've been trying to find a way to access a list of specific articles that I am aware of (publication, initial date, and title) but unfortunately all avenues so far have led to University sites requesting student log ins or Canadian libraries and their card number - which naturally I don't have given I am in the USA. Is there any tips on how to navigate this?

Unfortunately the topic I am looking into is a bit niche and relevant mostly to local news publications so it isn't necessarily a matter of swapping out or finding other sources.
