I don’t want to offend any mechanics but I am honestly wondering… I had a quote today for a Fuel Injector replacement, the Fuel Injector was listed on the quote as $4000, under that was injector seal kit and rocker cover gasket (both separately priced) and then labour was under that at $480

The fuel injector type/make etc was listed and I’ve searched that up, along with my rego making sure it’s compatible and they seem to be available for $1000 or less.

Is this actually a $3000 markup from the mechanic??

I engaged a lawyer to help me with a matter. I signed a cost agreement in office and made a transfer in office however it didn’t go through and neither of us were aware of this until today when they have contacted me. The matter they were engaged for has been dealt with and finalised. While I have every intention of paying, I no longer have the funds to pay it immediately. Where do I stand if I email them with a payment arrangement. Can they reject it? Take me to court? Default listing on my credit file? Or worse? Thanks.
