Got a sale in the first hour of running Meta ads… then absolutely nothing. What am I doing wrong?
I recently started dropshipping and I’m running ads on Meta. I’m currently testing my third product, and honestly, I’m pretty lost.
My first product was a total fail. With the second product, I got 3 sales on the first day, then 0 sales on the second and third day of testing. Now I’m testing my third product, and again, within the first hour of running the ads I got 1 sale. I was excited, thinking maybe this one had potential, but after that… nothing. The rest of the day had no sales, and now I’m halfway through day two of testing and still nothing.
What I don’t understand is why the sales drop off so quickly. If Meta recorded a purchase, shouldn’t it start finding more people similar to the buyer? Why does it feel like the algorithm gets one sale and then completely stops performing?
I feel like I’m targeting the right people, but clearly something is not working. Maybe I’m missing something or maybe I’m just misunderstanding how Meta needs data and time to optimize.
Has anyone been in a similar situation when they first started? What did you change that actually helped?
Also, if your only intention is to comment or DM me asking what product I’m selling, asking for my website link, or anything like that, please don’t bother commenting. But if you genuinely want to help, have gone through something similar, or can give real advice, feel free to comment. It would help a lot.
