Shalom! I'm looking for a possible summer camp for my wonderful autistic 17 year old who has a trauma history and ADHD. We're in WA. She went to a camp two years ago and loved it but we had to work with them everyday with a constant threat of her being kicked out for everyday autistic difficulties with absorbing and following directions. She didn't know about this and keeps asking to go back to a camp. The other part of this is that we're pretty broke so are hoping for a way to find a way to have significant financial support. She has told me, quite dramatically, that not sending her to camp will hinder her "social development and identity as a Jewish woman." Yeesh.
