Hello! im currently I just finished my U0 year in the arts faculty and want to transfer to the faculty of Arts and Science to go into cognitive science! I have a few questions (I reached out to mcgill advisors who said they couldnt help?) and Im hoping anyone else who is planning on changing faculties or already has can help me out.

1. looking at the required classes, it says only one of them is offered for the school year 2026-2027, but looking on VSB and minerva they show up and there are professors assigned to the classes... is that going to change or is the Mcgill website wrong?
2. going into U1 I have to declare a major, but can i do a semster with only the prerequisites needed for me to change faculties? it will take me an entire year to do my prerequisits (since I need to take 2 math classes, one is offered in fall, one in winter semester), which means I will be entering Arts and Sci. U2, and need classes already need 9 credits going towards cognitive science, I will only be able to take 1 class going towards my arts major.
3. how much of a delay should I expect? going into uni i didnt plan on changing faculties and expected to be done in four years, how many semesters will this add to my original plan?
