Neighbors put in above ground pool and the ladder is taller than our fence
We live in a city in a beautiful historic neighborhood. We moved into our house in January. We have an in ground pool and due to that, the previous owners installed a 5ft privacy fence.
A few weeks ago our neighbors had a bunch of people over and they started to put this up. At first I wasn't terribly concerned, I thought it was going to be some type of cowboy pool but no, these two installed a whole 5ft tall pool with electrical and pumps and all the things.
I feel like our privacy has been completely compromised and what they've done is incredibly rude.
I've already checked on the city website, and they have NOT pulled a single required permit for anything they've done. I could call the city on them but it's not like the city is gonna make them take it down, they will probably fine them. Also calling the city will make enemies out of them and that's.....uncomfortable. So, I feel like our only good option is to plant trees or get sunshades that block their view, AKA spending our time and our resources to fix a problem they created. I'm so upset at their thoughtlessness and lack of basic respect for other people and feel backed into a corner. Any other good suggestions? Am I crazy for feeling this way?
