Heading to Japan in a few days from NYC, was about to buy these two here for $1650, but then realized I can get the same in Tokyo’s Map Camera for around $500 less with pricing and no tax. Seems like a no brainer to wait.
After researching, seems this is a relatively new lens and is very compact, so that’s appealing for any future trips. And that with the lack of zoom it forces beginners to focus on composition. Also seems like the lens kit Fujifilm offers with this camera at purchase isn’t the best based on other posts.
Very new to this so just wanted to get everyone’s thoughts on a beginner lens for this camera. Mainly going to be shooting photos of streets and landscapes (and maybe food).
Have a long flight so if anyone also has any good guides/books to get started on this journey that’d be awesome too - gonna download the camera manual to read up on it as well.
