Should i use hermes bots or telegram bots?

Hi, I'm experimenting with Hermes, and so far I like it; it fits my needs. I've already set up 3 Telegram bots linked to dedicated profiles. Is it worth it to change to the new Hermes bots functionality?

I don't really understand how it's different or if it has different benefits.

Should I convert my gaming PC into a second Proxmox node?

Hello

I'm thinking about turning my main gaming PC into a Proxmox node and using a Windows VM with GPU passthrough as my daily desktop. I'd like to hear from people who have tried something similar.

Current gaming PC:

- Intel i7-13700K

- RTX 4080

- 64 GB DDR5

- Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSDs

I also have another Proxmox server:

- Intel i5-14500

- 64 GB DDR5

The idea is to run:

- A Windows VM for gaming and everyday use.

- Linux VMs/containers for self-hosting and AI (mainly Ollama).

One reason I'm considering this is that I'd like to make use of this hardware when I'm not using Windows, instead of leaving it idle or powered off.

I already run a Windows VM on my current Proxmox server with my old GTX 1080 passed through. I use Apollo + Moonlight, and it has worked really well for me, including gaming.

What I'd like to do now is connect my monitors directly to the RTX 4080 and use the Windows VM through the physical DisplayPort/HDMI outputs instead of streaming over the network.

My other concern is power consumption.

The i7-13700K is much more CPU than I actually need. I'd be perfectly happy if I could tune it closer to an i5-14500 in terms of performance and, more importantly, power consumption. I'm considering undervolting and/or applying power limits, but I don't know how much of a difference that makes in real-world usage.

For those running a similar setup:

- How close does it feel to bare metal?

- Has undervolting or power limiting made a noticeable difference in idle and light-load power consumption?

- Would you do it again, or are there drawbacks you didn't expect?

I'd love to hear your experiences.
