I wrote an ai book, now I feel guilty
My father is currently on hospice with cancer, so I've been reading a lot of fantasy to distract myself. I was looking for a particular storyline and couldn't find it so started using ai to write it. I currently have over 40000 words and half a book, I would say things like "he should say this and she should do that".
I really just wanted something that I could enjoy and keep me busy but now I really want to actually turn it into a book and have started researching historical sources for it.
I don't think I could even post it on wattpad as the backlash for any use of ai is so negative.
Can I rewrite it and create my own book from this?
Update: Thanks so much for all your feedback, reality it's just been a fun escape and I actually have no desire to be a writer as I have a career I love that love.
