Floor shifter setups

As my Dads 1967 Chevy Nova II comes to me I’d like to change a few things around. Currently it has a B&M mega floor shifter with the big plastic box on the carpet. It has a 350 with a 700r4 trans and I’d like something a little more classy like a Lokar with a bent shifter rod and a leather boot. Something simple and classic looking. It has a black vinyl bench in it but am hoping to score some buckets one day

What are you all running? Post up some pics because I’d like to see some different setups and what you all prefer.

Crank not turning when starting

Hello everyone I’m a younger dude and have no experience with carbureted classic cars so I’m hoping to get a little help here.

My dad left his 67 nova sit for 2 years due to being hurt and not able to mess with it. I’ve been visiting out of state to try and get it started up and running again for him.

From what I know it ran fine when parked, it had a dead battery that he thought was a bad starter. I reinstalled an OEM starter and new battery and the car cranks but won’t turn over. When cranking the fan doesn’t spin which means the crankshaft isn’t actually turning the motor over right? I’ve added fuel to the primaries in the carb in an attempt to just get it to turn over but nothing. It doesn’t even sound like it wants to. I don’t see the carb squirting gas into the bowls/ intake when I manually operate the throttle. I also don’t hear the fuel pump kick on when I turn the key into accessory, and the fuel line filter is bone dry.

There may be a couple issues here I take it?
It has a Gen 2 350 sbc crate motor from Summit. Holley carb, msd ignition, distributor etc..

Any help is appreciated. Shouldn’t the fan be spinning while I’m cranking this thing?

My first Guitar at 43

Picked up this JM Player series guitar today. As a Texan I’ve always been pretty music obsessed and had always been able to see live music any genre any time basically in Austin

I’m older now, live in a rural town and kinda feel like I’ve lost some connection to something I love. Just listening isn’t cutting it anymore. Always have wanted to learn so today’s the day I start my journey.

Mainly looking to play some dream pop, shoegaze & some classic country as they are my top 3 genres to listen to

Nice piece or should I have opted for a cheaper Squire brand? The techs said this was overall a substantially nicer instrument for not much more than the Squire version. Doesn’t have the Rhythm Circuit but since I’m just learning to play I’m not too concerned with that extra doo dad gizmo considering I’ll eventually have a small pedal board.

This is such a comfortable instrument to sit with

Is this growth normal

I’m a bit uneducated in Euphorbia, and when I had picked this little guy up I was under the impression it was most likely a horrida snowflake barrel? I’m sure I butchered the name, but my main query is is this growth off of the main barrel portion?

Maybe it’s a variety I’m just unaware of? Absolutely love this new addition to the collection but am seeking some guidance for this guy
