Dad needs help…

cliff notes: -I want to buy my 5yr old an elytra & netherite gear as a birthday present & I might not make it -I need advise, ideas, opinions -Is this crazy
Ok so I’ll try to keep this short but I want to give details/context, I’m not just begging for handouts …but I’m not above receiving something if you want to 😁
I’ve always been into games but I only discovered MC like 3mo ago through my son who is all into MC, talks about it 24/7 haha so to him the holy grail is to have an ely & full enchanted netherite gear & a base on donut, oh & to one day trap DrD haha
So I learned how to play MC by starting on donut smp, big learning curve doing it that way but we’ve had a lot of fun together. I handle the economy side & buy him stuff he needs to build or play how he wants to. We had a nice little base going till it was griefed a few weeks ago & now we’ve been preparing for the expansion 🤞
I only get to play about 30mins when he gets game time & I’ll get up when everyone’s asleep for an hr or so a few times a week to grind out gravel, sand, ice etc orders, sell resources, flip stuff on ah, I make armor pkgs to sell, I invest & flip enchanted apples & netherite ingots but I think I’m missing something cause I see all these posts with ppl saying they make 100s of millions easily.
I've been watching videos on how to make/use mob farms & I have 8 spawners so far but want to save those for the expansion. His birthday is in about 8 weeks & it's an understatement to say he would definitely loose his mind if I got us elys & full gear as a present So with my limited game time do you all think it's possible to get decked out & have some extra cash (cause he's almost 6yr old & will inevitably loose something or die, I have a few times lol) and what methods should I be using or things I should be doing differently, I feel like I'm missing something obvious here??
