Nipple graft leaking pus after being completely healed?
I can’t get ahold of my doctor until Tuesday because of Memorial Day weekend (the online patient portal locked me out of my account and the help line is closed weekends AND holidays).
Double incision with nipple grafts 1/26/2026. My nipple started to feel sore 4 days ago, but I thought nothing of it. I thought it was just the nerves reconnecting, not unlike the little jolts of pain you get sometimes. Today, I noticed a teeny tiny little scab on my nipple when I accidentally scratched it open. When I did so, pus started to leak from it. I tried to drain it as much as I could, until a more solid-ish chunk of pus popped out. Afterwards, all that would come out is blood. I have no clue what this is. My nipple grafts healed perfectly fine, and I’m two days shy of four months post-op. I’m trying not to panic since I can’t get ahold of my doctor at all on Tuesday. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Picture 2 is my nipple without the leakage.
