Hey all, we just had a new roof installed and their QC guy will be coming in a few days to address any concerns. I wanted to see if these were valid concerns to bring up, and see what you all thought? For the satellite dish, they were supposed to remove and discard, not reinstall. Thanks!
My hose bib is leaking from the wall connection as shown in pic one. It's supposed to be frost free but I'm assuming it still cracked somehow.. it's a slow drip on the exterior wall when the faucet is turned on.
I had to cut through my basement ceiling to access the pipe as shown in pic two. There is no water shut off for only this line, I'd have to shut off my main water line.
Before I attempt to undo the hose bib, is this a normal connection as seen in pic three? I assume I'm going to go outside, undo the two screws, and turn the entire bib counter clockwise. I was going to have my wife stabilize the pipe inside the ceiling with a wrench, but there's really nothing to grab onto. I'm thinking that brass connection on the copper pipe will come out together? Or should I have her hold onto the brass connection and only the copper pipe will come out? What's the best route? Thanks!
