CALLING ALL ADULT CHILDREN OF FIREFIGHTERS

LAST CALL TO HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD and TO HELP CHILDREN OF FIRE FIGHTERS.

Little is known on whether the demands of the fire service profession affect the kids of firefighters. It's important to know in order to figure out how to best support them. And the best way to figure this out is to actually ask adult children of firefighters - which is where you come in.

The F.I.R.E. survey needs to close soon but we need about 25 responses more to close it out. Please help and take 20 minutes to fill out this ANONYMOUS study. Upon completion you can also enter a drawing for a chance to win 1 of 5 $50 AMAZON gift cards. Take it here: https://wrightinstitute.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cYGfBlXNuyrACDY

Adult children of fire fighters needed!

Ever wondered how the demands of the fire profession might affect firefighter kids?

My firefighter mentors and I do!  Especially as they tell me that when firefighter children and families struggle, it can be hard to find support resources that get it.

We decided we needed to push for more support resources and created the ANONYMOUS F.I.R.E. survey as a first step.

The INPUT of ADULT children of firefighters is CRITICAL, as it can help us understand fire culture strengths kids can draw on, as well as support needs and how to best provide support. It also can help bring the needs of firefighter children into focus so more resources flow their way.

If you are an ADULT child of a firefighter, please take the ANONYMOUS F.I.R.E. survey AND please help recruit other ADULT CHILDREN OF FIREFIGHTERS to take the 20-minute F.I.R.E. survey. It can be taken on the phone, tablet or computer at this link: https://wrightinstitute.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cYGfBlXNuyrACDY

Once completed, you/participants can enter a voluntary RAFFLE for a chance to win 1 of 5 - $50 AMAZON gift cards (Email address will NOT be linked to survey responses to preserve anonymity).

To take the survey you must:
• Be between 18-80 years old
• Have at least one parent who worked as a firefighter (career/volunteer) in the United States before you turned 18
• Have at least one parent who worked as a firefighter for 3+ years in the United States before you turned 18
• Have at least one parent who worked as a firefighter in the United States when you lived with them for 3+ years before
you turned 18
• Be able to read and understand English

Please help spread the word about this important study to help firefighter kids.
