Hitting wall at 2-3 miles

Hi everybody! I started running /training for a half marathon in February. Since then, I’ve been able to run up to 9 miles. Some runs are good and some are bad.

I’m noticing more often than not, I hit a really hard wall between 2 to 3 miles. It’s like my legs start to hurt and I start to “feel” like it’s hard. Today I was supposed to run 5 and I only made it to 2.75. Any thoughts on why I’m burning out so quickly?

Things to note: my comfortable pace is between 12-13 min miles which I stay between. I hit that pace today.

I do a brief warm up before runs but nothing extensive. I also work a desk job and have very little steps during the day. I’m not sure if that contributes?

Any thoughts or experience welcome!!
