Dr Thirsti back flow issues
Only the Dr Thirsti flavor does this, none of the others, and I have tried a lot of them.
I also have bought a lot of the Dr Thirsti pods and they all do it. Some just a little, some a LOT.
You run it and the drink comes out fine.
When you remove the drip tray, you see there is undiluted syrup lying in there mere seconds after the carbonated water has vacated it.
When you pull the pod out...MESS. Not only is the black area of the tray where the pod was covered in syrup, the air hole on the pod has a massive bubble of syrup coming out...not the actual dispenser side, the air side.
Worst of all, the syrup is coming out of the air line! Not just a little, either. For over 5 minutes you can stick a paper towel in there and blot it and clean it all up...then watch within seconds as more just comes dribbling out of the airline. In the end, I would say MORE syrup is wasted in the pod holder and air line per use than is actually sprayed into the drink.
Are all of these pods bottled on top of Mt Everest? It's like trying to blow air into a firehose just as someone turns it on. The pods seem fine outside the machine, I can squeeze and if they are upright nothing comes out.
I like the taste a lot but the Exxon Valdez-sized mess i have to clean up after every drink is really souring me on this flavor.
