Using Claude (in Chrome) to analyze an artistic portfolio

Members of this sub who are visual artists AND who have an online gallery of their work might be interested in this experiment: getting Claude to develop an analysis of their work -- and of themselves, as artists -- based on the gallery. (You could probably use native Claude itself to use this analysis to develop an "artist's statement" for distribution to IRL galleries, print publications, etc. I haven't tried this but don't see why it wouldn't work.)

Screen cap excerpt from the full analysis.

It wasn't as easy as I'd hope it would be, and it required use of the beta "Claude in Chrome" browser extension (which made me nervous, thanks to all the security warnings it issued even before I'd installed it).

...but it was pretty cool once I got it there!

P.S. Anyone else feeling skittish about Claude in Chrome?

I thought folks in this sub might be interested in this... It's based on an Op Ed in the New York Times, which asserts that using AI in creative work isn't really creative. (Gift link to the Op Ed in the Substack post.)
