I’m in Kentuckiana if that matters.

I finally scored some Honeyvine Milkweed seeds from our native plant seed library but I can find no information on how to grow it. Every search just turns up information on how to control or eradicate it.

Well, I have a fence that I want to plant it next to but I have no idea how far apart to plant them or anything else for that matter. I only know it likes full sun and is aggressive.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I winter sowed 11 different species and only six germinated. I also did some spring sowing of 5 different types and only three germinated. However! I feel like this is a good start.

With the exception of the Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana) which only gave me three plants they all produced more than I should need for where I’ve planned to plant them so that makes me happy.

I’m also going to a native plant sale next week so we’ll see what else I grab.

My daughter says I have a problem and I told her she needs to peruse this sub and see that what I have so far is mild.

My lawnmower stopped working so I wasn’t able to get going as early as I normally would this year. Look what I found! This is in an area that I cleared of Chinese privet last year.

iNaturalist says it’s tall goldenrod.
