I literally just got my own personal laptop for the first time in almost, i I literally don’t know how long???, 20+ years, and I have been in high tech since I graduated college almost 30 years ago. I’ve been at FAANG adjacent companies. I’ve never felt the need until now, with excessive layoffs, to have my own. It just arrived today and I am setting it up and it just struck me. I must be a unicorn. I’ve gotten by on my work laptops, iPads and my iPhone until now. I feel like a kid in candy store. I’ve made it to principal level in software without my own laptop. Anyone else a loser like me?
