Idea Management Vault for Writers and World Builders
Built this idea management vault for writers and world builders concerned about continuity. Thought someone might find it useful.
The central conceit: you catch story and world ideas the messy, jump-around way they actually arrive and jot them down as quick notes called sparks. A co-pilot (free) prompt auto-tags them. Dataview makes indexes of all your sparks (organized and raw) so you can edit through them. Contradictions in your ides get auto-flagged. Ideas you reject get stored in an archive. Smart connection and graph give you relevance and connections.
Once you've made all your creative decisions and decided what's what, there's a catalog of all your (now approved) sparks. Another prompt runs a report for you on any character, place, the themes in your work, facets of your magic system — any story element really — and that pulls every idea you ever wrote about that topic onto one clean (canonical) reference page, organized by subtopic.
I use this vault to ease the burden of getting notes and ideas ironed out before starting in on drafting prose, and it also generates abbreviated cheat sheets of everything in a scene for use as a continuity reference while you're writing. Inspired by Luhmann's Zettelkasten.
