4 Days Post-op…good?

4 Days Post-op…good?

Finally got the dressings off from surgery (double incision with nipple grafts) and… I think it’s good so far? The dressings I had on were FAR too tight so it’s been a relief to finally have them off. The drains gave me some gnarly blisters from where they were pressing against my ribs… so my main issue right now is just being itchy all over and not being able to do much about it. Drains still feel weird and I’m overly paranoid about them catching on things.

Might just be a nit-pick but I feel like my nipples are too far toward the center.. I’m hoping they heal more to the sides.. but if they don’t, womp womp.

Recovery is awful so far

I just had double incision with nipple grafts on Friday 6/5. It’s now only Monday 6/8 and it’s been hell. I knew it wasn’t going to be pleasant, but this has been ungodly awful. My wraps they gave me are so excruciatingly tight I can barely breathe. I legitimately have to gasp for air in between words when I want to talk. The drain tubes are pressed so tightly against my skin I can feel them leaving actual indents. The bandages are itchy as hell and, again, so tight it physically hurts to move at all with them on. Even sitting up/getting up to use the bathroom is awful.

I’ve barely been able to get any sleep because of the discomfort keeping me awake.. and this morning I woke up with the most intense nausea I felt like I was going to throw up everywhere.. plus the bloating is making my stomach feel awful.
TMI: I also haven’t had a BM since Thursday (5 days) and my insides are NOT happy about it.

The drains also make me lightheaded any time I see them because I have a very bad Vasovagal response and imagining a tube coming out of my chest is just.. ew.

I’m going into the office today for my Follow up and hoping to god that they loosen the dressings and give me something to help because holy shit this is agonizing.
