Child left slime on the newly(ish) refinished floors

Floors were refinished 5 months ago… The baby was playing with some homemade slime and apparently dropped some. No one noticed it until the next day.

It doesn’t come off when I scrape at it with my fingernail. What’s the play here? Hit it with a very light sanding? I have some used finishing pads the fellas left here after they were done so I could try to make any repairs blend in.

Is that even going to do anything to this? Should I use a chemical instead?

Looking for suggestions before I start in on it.

Can I repair this or should I just leave it be?

I bought a used office chair, and it has a scuffed armrest. It doesn’t bother me, but I want to take care of this chair and make it last a long time. Is there anything that I can do for it?

Can I put wood chips under topsoil?

I want to do buffalo grass and some native grasses in my front yard this fall.
My entire front yard was just stripped 8 inches down to bare dead soil due to asbestos cleanup. I would love to get some wood chips back on the ground, and then put topsoil over them in the fall and then seed with what I want to grow.

Will this create an anaerobic condition or some other problem that I’m not foreseeing? As it breaks down, is it going to make the grass lumpy?
