Now that Matrix requires full teams, I am getting pretty good use of her.

Qingxiao is very clear as a cultivator, but his character was a nothingburger for 3.5 and all I can see is maybe he leads us through some underground stuff to reach a place but nothing else. They kinda gimped his characterization beside being a hired hand.

With my absence, many things happened both in the sub and mostly outside things heating up between extremist sides which also slips into the sub. Due to mod overreach, toxic user behavior and other things that negatively impact the sub like the low effort twitter screenshot posting, I am here to make a wall of text.

Rules

Rules exist on the sub, even if more lax on their punishment. Not for long, because people overdid many things. To highlight the more important ones.

• Leak posts: Spoiler it and don't leave obvious spoiler in the title about content
• Self Promotion and Advertisement: Fanartists are fine to post their stuff, same with cosplayers like usual. Don't expect people to open a link to youtube to your video though. Upload it here directly to reddit if you want people to watch something. That and self promo should be asked about in modmail first.
• Reddit TOS and User Agreement: We would still like you to cross or blur out sub names just in case. We don't want another admin modmail warning for the sub.
• Subreddit Language and Quality: Nowadays, it became pretty popular to just spam subs with twitter screenshots and let people talk about the image in comments or just use this as ragebait and soft propaganda against what someone dislikes. Every single twitter screenshot will be taken down from now on as low effort content. If you want something out anyway, ask the mod team first in modmail.
• CC Talk Rule: We didn't had a problem with this since we added, but due to how things shape up, we will update the rule later today to "CC + GG Talk". Just like CC stuff being allowed to roam free, Gacha Grail is nothing but a net negative to the subreddit. They made that gachacringewhatever sub to begin with partially because I didn't allow them free hand here and whenever could, pushed back against it. This sub is not the home of either extremist side. Both side should get out or I will make sure they move.
• Doomposting and Hateposting: After the last mod post about doomposting gooners overdoing it, they luckily took a step back but instead, now the male character haters are the ones overdoing it. If you don't have anything normal to say about the yearly two male characters, just shut the fuck up and don't sour the mood for the few who cares. They are part of the game, will be and you can just downvote and scroll away if you dislike something that much.

This is not a sub for Gacha Grail

Seems like many decided that this sub is just theirs for some reason. I wouldn't do anything to change minds because I don't care what people call the sub outside of it. I only care about what's inside. The sub, even when only a few hundreds big was already labeled as incelden, gooners, unwashed people or whatever else just because the sub did whatever it wanted and other subs didn't liked that.

Just because the sub consists of mostly male players and gooners doesn't mean we want to support an extremist side. It means the sub just turned out this way because surprise, majority of gacha players are male gooners. Obviously the sub that allows some level of degeneracy will be full of people like that. But again, that doesn't mean we want to support either side of the extreme idiocy.

Yesterday a mod did an overreach and banned someone for 7 days unwarranted just because they disliked someone's male character post. I only saw this because I asked another mod if I can get one. The mod was removed and I taken over moderating the sub.

There is 400+ mod queue about reports and posts or comments reddit didn't allowed out. I will clean that out and likely see some more posts from new users because if their post is fine, I will approve it. The sub has a rule not to allow posts from users with less than 50-100 karma or being a month old.

Last Words

I yapped a lot already so I just end it here for now. There wouldn't be big changes from one day to another as I am busy, but over the next few months, I will make sure to try and bring the sub back to its 2025 state when there was meaningful moderation.

Extremists will be kicked in the ass, they have their own sub, post that kind of content there. Tone down the male character hater behavior as well or there will be repercussions to it. The goal of the sub was a low fenced sub with lax rules, but there are still rules. We don't want anarchy here but orderly degeneration.

It was already pretty sus that something just wasn't right with this new Matrix and this answers what.

Last time I did 37K points and finished 8+ waves. This time? 38K was only enough for 6 waves.

My teams that did 6K last time? They struggled to churn out 5K. Heck, it got to the point I needed to use both Roccia AND Sanhua for Camellya just to hit 5K+ even with Roccia's extra buffs.

On one hand I can understand why it's like this now. I saw western players do 20K points with full premium teams. I even saw a JP player today do 70K+ with an Aemeath-Denia-Chisa team. I understand giving space to whales and sweaters but they did bad for everyone.

- Mode become heavily team reliant, solo with a decent S2-3 alone is less possible

- Anyone with not enough teams or not high enough scores gets locked into Round 1 with shit point multiplier and everyone who can sweat or whale gets the better point opportunities.

- Double wave kill challenge goal was already hard before to get enough points for the last skin reward, now with a HP inflation it's downright ridiculous

- They added a mob wave last time, now with a mix of enemies you can and cannot pull, so they can separate easier to worsen your time and dmg

- Any normal player can only get the score models. The Season Task silver and gold medals with the 7-13 challenge goal requirements are so damn high that only whales who get a new S6 every patch would get (since there are character specific task goals too like to do 15K points with a Yapyap/Suisui team)

I don't know who they actually wanted to target with this gamemode, because after adjustments, which were more like player nerfs at 3-4 different places stacking on each other, it's a playground for giga sweats and giga whales only.

Many might run into problems on top of the game not running best sometimes, especially with a laptop, so here's some solution that worked for me.

Problem

I have a Zephyrus G14 2024 with Ryzen 7 6800HS and an RX6800S. This is a pretty strong machine overall even with the laptop CPU-GPU variants but the downside is the laptop form factor.

Wuwa runs the CPU on 93-96 Celsius, the GPU 93 Celsius and these two boosts up the SSD temperature to 60-64 as well, wh.ich is very not good. It got to the point that sometimes the laptop just shuts down or restarts due to one of the three finding it too hot, most likely the SSD (50 Celsius is ideal, 70 is the point you damage it longterm)

Solution

No need to play around in BIOS, you just need something like Armoury Crate on my side. Also something like Hard Disc Sentinel for SSD temperature.

Once in Armoury Crate, start setting the APU/CPU down, giving them less voltage while playing the game in the background until you find a balance wh.ere you don't undervolt the CPU enough to bottleneck and start lagging. My ideal is the image in the post. Wuwa is a CPU intensive game, so you can set the APU/GPU higher without much heat problem, originally I set it to as low as 30 for myself and it ran fine, but gave it more power instead because the GPU ran on lower temperates anyway compared to the CPU.

you can see on the second image, configuration runs well like this.

CPU 93-96 -> 76 Celsius

GPU 93 -> 74 Celsius

SSD 64 -> 49-50 Celsius

I set it so my fans run on max under intensive gaming, but if I turned them as low as possible, even then it "only" went up to 85 Celsius on the CPU, still way better than before. I use headphones anyway, so the noise it creates is not a problem for me.

Result

With this, I solved the shut down problem as well but also, Wuwa runs 60FPs~ on near maxed settings with FSR3 on with framegen and being on quality. Only shadow and render distance was set to medium and far.

Before just saying the game is unoptimized, you can still check if your hardware even runs optimally. Many things can bottleneck your performance after all outside the game as well.
