Apprentice about to turn out and I need a meter, should I go fluke or Klein?
As title says I’m an apprentice about to top out soon and I’m in the market for a reliable multimeter I’ve just been borrowing from the Jw’s on site and I’ve decided to go and get my own now my question is should I go with Klein or fluke? The fluke t5-600 seems to be a popular choice with the jws I work with but I also see a lot of guys with the Klein cl120. I’ve used both and don’t really see a difference in terms of the testing but it’s always just continuity or for voltage & ampacity. I know fluke is the premier name in testing instruments but I’m hesitant to shell out the money for one when I’m just checking for voltage or continuity and a Klein meter seems to do that just as well as the fluke. So I ask am I missing something here that makes the fluke worth the extra 100 bucks? Or should I just go with the Klein for now and get a fluke when I need a more precise instrument?
TLDR: jws mad at me for borrowing their meter all the time, I need to get my own should I get fluke or the Klein and what model.
