Built a free tool to look up fire sprinklers, check specs, and compare them. Need your thoughts!
Hope everyone doing great!
I’ve been working on a web tool called SPR Finder to help fitters, service techs, and designers quickly look up sprinkler heads and check their specs. The site is currently in beta testing, and my main goal is to keep it completely free.
I wanted to drop it here to get some honest feedback from the guys out in the trade.
Current & Upcoming Features:
- Quick Sprinkler Lookup (Live in Beta): Easily search for heads by SIN, K-factor, response type, etc.
- Smart Distributor Locator (In Development): This is the feature I’m most curious about. The plan is to allow you to type in a postal code/zip code, and the site will automatically map out the 3 closest distributors that actually carry or can source that specific sprinkler head.
What I’d love to know from you guys:
Would that distributor locator actually be useful? If you're on a job site or prepping a service call, would a feature like that save you time, or do you already just stick to your usual suppliers anyway?
Bugs & Mistakes: For those checking out the beta, have you noticed any data errors, broken links, missing heads, or weird formatting issues?
General Thoughts: If a tool like this stays 100% free, is it something you’d keep bookmarked on your phone? What else is missing that you wish existing databases had?
Really appreciate any feedback, brutal honesty, or feature suggestions you can throw my way.

Thanks guys!
