Is anyone using vFlat Scan for serious book digitisation on newer iPhones?

I am testing an iPhone 15 Pro in an overhead scanning setup and vFlat appears to always use the 0.5× ultrawide camera during live capture.

The problem is:

  • softer text,
  • distortion correction artifacts,
  • and reduced edge sharpness.

At the same mounting height (35–50 cm), the native Apple Camera app using the 1× main lens produces dramatically better geometry and text quality.

I cannot find:

  • any manual lens-selection setting,
  • or any way to stop vFlat using ultrawide.

Has anyone found:

  • a workaround,
  • hidden setting,
  • or alternate scanning app that properly supports the main 1× camera on iPhone?

Current workaround is:
Apple Camera (1×) -> import into vFlat for dewarping/OCR/PDF.

But I would prefer a direct scanning workflow if possible.
