I have chronic bad smell coming from my tongue, probably caused by bacteria on the back of the tongue. I do not have acid reflux or stomach problems, and I am almost 100% sure the bad smell is caused by bacteria on my tongue. I already do tongue scraping and brushing regularly, but the bad smell does not stop.
Many mouthwashes did not work for me. But when I used chlorhexidine mouthwash, the bad smell reduced a lot. After stopping chlorhexidine, the bad smell came back again.
When I eat sugar, the bad smell increases noticeably.
How can I stop this bad breath long term?
