I’m currently a summer associate at a biglaw firm in NYC. People keep telling me that unless I’m the Sidley biter, I’ll get a return offer/that you basically have to “try” not to get a return offer. But I can’t help but be pretty skeptical of that, especially with the rise of AI. How worried should I actually be about getting a return offer? How often do biglaw firms randomly no-offer people who were normal and didn’t do anything egregiously wrong?
