Help regarding washes - undesired wet effect
Hi all! This is my first post here, and overall im new-ish to painting miniatures in general, with most of my experience to date being 40k imperial knights.
I was inspired to try my hand at a kitbashed army for Turnip28, and have made these two chaps, along with a few others. One thing which I am struggling to control is how 'wet' the mini looks post painting. For example, the moustach man has arms that look sodden, but the captain looks relatively dry. I tried to be consistent accross both of these models, but the end finish is quite different, and any insight would be appreciated.
I'm currently suspecting it may just be too much wash used on the gunner (Agrax Earthshade from Citadel) but was wondering if there was anything else to it. Thank you in advance.
